Release 5.31

It has been a while since a significant release. We haven’t stopped, but have been working hard on a significant update to T-JACS. Several changes relating to this update are not visible in the application but serve to support this update effort.

This release brings a few new things that we feel you should be aware of, specifically regarding Purchase Orders and Job Reports.

Since Release 5.30, we’ve also silently implemented several minor bug fixes.

What’s New

The Vendor PO Number is hidden until the Generate PO Number button is pressed

  • If the auto-generated PO number is given to the vendor, but the PO is not saved, the number is lost. To prevent this, the button always says “Generate PO Number”. When the button is clicked, the number is generated, while the PO is silently saved in the background, preserving the PO.

Multi-job Summary Report is accessible in more places

  • Formerly, the Multi-job Summary Report was only accessible from the Customer form. The report can now be accessed in two more places:

    • While in a Job, under Reports, there is a new tab labelled “Multi-job”

    • While in the Reports menu, under Job Reports, there is a new tab labelled “Multi-job Summary”

  • This report lets you combine job summary reports from the same customer so that you can see profit/loss across several jobs.

Add Vendor PO’s from the Vendor Location

  • When viewing the vendor location, you have additional tabs that allow you to add a PO for that location, as well as a Reconcile Materials - Vendor Returns tab, similar to the tab under the vendor form.

Fixes and Improvements

Fixed a logic inversion causing the customer name to not show a link on the job lists as expected.

From minor releases

  • Searching Jobs is improved, allowing searches for RFP jobs.

  • Improved filtering of job scope tasks in job item lists.

  • Fixed a performance issue loading job reports when there are a large number of purchase orders on a job.

  • Fixed filters where an active filter is hidden in some contexts, but should have been ignored.

  • Fixed issue with deleted vendor PO line items not behaving as expected.
