Release 5.25

Changes are coming hot and fast. This release includes a new ability to change the status of multiple jobs all at once. A quick, last-minute inclusion is a new hold: Orange. So now we have all of the primary and secondary colours covered. Orange you glad we did that? (sorry, we can’t help ourselves).

There aren’t really any bug fixes, but some bigger changes under the hood had to happen that hopefully you won’t notice. We’ve already got new things ready for the next release that piggyback on this one.

What’s New

Bulk Change Job Status

  • The job list pages now have a checkbox, just like most other lists.

  • Since a checkbox needs something to do, we’re allowing you to select multiple jobs and move them all to a new status using a drop-down selection at the bottom of the page.

    • Available job status options are the same as what you’ll see in the job’s Checklist tab.

    • After selecting the new status, you’ll receive a notice of whether the change was successful or not.

    • If any selected job cannot be moved to the requested status, you will receive a list of remedies needed to progress the job to the that status, identically as if you had gone to the Checklist tab.

Added “Hold Orange”

  • In addition to Purple that we introduced last release, we have added a new Orange hold status across the entire application where holds are implemented.

  • The meaning is however you determine it.

Fixes and Improvements

Job List Refactoring

  • Adding the bulk change feature required refactoring several related forms and lists. Refactoring sometimes introduces new issues, so it’s good to report any issues with the following affected forms:

    • job lists

    • job action lists

    • job type form and list
