Release 5.11

We’re excited to bring you Release 5.11! This update introduces a brand-new Work Permits feature, improvements to titles and reports, cleaner and more consistent designs, and fixes to make everything run smoother. We’ve worked hard to make the system smarter and easier to use while solving key issues to keep things efficient and frustration-free.

What’s New

1. Work Permits Module:

   • You can now manage work permits directly in the system! Create, edit, and organize permits tied to jobs and scopes, with built-in tools for inspections and permit types.

   • Work Permits can be managed under the permits tab when working with your jobs. There are also permits tabs on job scopes and customers. When viewing all jobs, there is a permits tab there that will show all of your work permits.

   • You can track different types of permits, with their related statuses and dates, add notes, and even associate a permit with a job expense record.

   • If it is not yet enabled on your system and you are interested in using permit tracking, please let us know.

2. Better Titles & Reports:

   • Titles and subtitles in several forms are now displayed more consistently, also making easier to see where you are in relation to the rest of the application.

Fixes & Improvements

1. Better Messages:

   • When something gets deleted or updated, the notifications you see have been improved so they’re clearer and more consistent.

2. Bug Fixes:

   • We’ve fixed an issue where invoices sometimes acted strange with certain inputs—you won’t have to worry about that anymore.

   • Sorting out some subtitle logic helped remove clutter and improve consistency.

3. Streamlined Bulk Actions in Labor Estimates:

   • Bulk actions in job scope template labor estimates now handle missing info more gracefully. An unnecessary function for templates has been removed.

4. Cleanups Everywhere:

   • We’ve refined some of the code in the background, tidied up layouts for a sleeker look, and smoothed out workflows.
