Release 5.19
This release brings several productivity changes to time sheets, allowing more flexible recording of your time with overtime declarations. Employees can more easily declare how much of a day was overtime and have to the overtime time sheet automatically created.
What’s New
Validation of Overlapping Time Sheets
Attempting to save a time sheet that overlaps with another time sheet of the same employee will generate an error.
Among other problems, this will prevent accidental copying of a time sheet and not adjusting the date.
Enhanced Automatic Splitting of Time Sheets
A time sheet that spans over two days will automatically be split into two time sheets: one for each day that the time applies to. Previously, this action only applied to newly created time sheets. An existing time sheet can be modified to extend the time, which will then trigger an automatic split.
Ability to Easily Extend Overtime Hours on Time Sheets
A time sheet can be entered with both regular time and overtime specified at one time.
Below the “Hours” entry field, you can click on “Extend Hours” to open more fields letting you choose how much of your time was overtime.
Overtime will then be split off automatically into a second time sheet.
Existing time sheets can be modified to extend the time and/or apply overtime.
This does not change the normal functioning of time sheets, but should allow easier entry of time sheets without requiring manual copying of the regular time sheet to apply overtime.
Fixes and Improvements
Fixed Instances of Wrong Time Sheet Duration
If the hours for a day exceeded 8 hours, the link to add more time to a day was not calculating the duration properly, causing the wrong start and end times to be presented.
