Release 4.96

Release Date:

Monday, February 6, 2023

Summary:

This release includes a few fixes and enhancements for issues identified in the last release. Other features were added to address some difficulties, such as a navigation button on the quote form and pop-ups with extra information to keep table rows from being too long.

A new hold color was added to give more options for controlling materials, expenses, time sheets, and scopes.  It's a boring gray, but sometimes you just need a quiet friend that is there to lend a hand.

While reviewing documentation for adding customers, we've recognized that it would be useful to notify you of a change to the customer record in case you unintentionally move off of the page without saving.  We've added this feature on other forms in the past and will expect to expand it out to more forms.

If you're interested in other fixes, we have a few that we've listed below.

We're focusing on some more significant features in the coming weeks so stay tuned for that.

New Features:

Added Quote Compare Button to Vendor Quote Materials List Form

  • The Quote Materials form has a link to the Quote Compare form in the quote name, but it's more intuitive to have an explicit button at the bottom of the form.

Add a Popup to The Extended Cost on Vendor Quote Compare Report

  • When hovering over the extended cost, a popup shows the per item quoted cost in the popup.

  • The vendor location name is now also shown with the vendor name when hovering over the short vendor name in the header of vendor column.

New "Hold Gray" Option

  • In addition to Red, Green, Yellow, New, and Backorder, we have added a grey hold to all record types that have holds.

    • Materials

    • Expenses

    • Time Sheets

    • Scopes

  • Holds are useful for managing your work by grouping items together for further processing.  Blue is used for new items, and black is used for back-ordered items, but otherwise, you can choose your own meanings for the other hold colours.

Prevent Navigating Away from the Customer Edit Form If Changes Are Made

  • When you are adding or editing a customer, a popup will notify you if changes were made that haven't been saved.  You can then choose to ignore the changes, or stop and save your changes.

Fixes:
